Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

What I've Been Up To........

My last time to post here was Kara's 5th birthday on the 11th.  I actually made the post before going to bed because I knew with getting up early to get ready and head to the beach that I would probably forget to do it in the morning rush!

So, what have I been doing for the last week and a half?  Glad you asked!  :D  I'll show you!  I just happen to have a few pictures!  I'll spread them out amongst the journaling!

So, Monday, July 11th, Tim and I drove to Myrtle Beach to spend the day with Liz, Brad and the kids.  Of course, my main "duty" was to take care of Abigail while the others played!  My kind of "work!"

Isn't she the cutest (as the rest of my grandbabies are!)?  :D  Here she is in her UV protective baby swimming suit.  She also has an adorable floppy hat, too!  Un-be-knownst to me, babies are not supposed to wear sunscreen up to a certain age that Liz told me, but I forget.  I can understand that as anytime Abigail's little mouth touches skin, her tongues goes out to lick or she starts sucking!

It was very pleasant in the shade!  When the 7 of us came on the pool scene, a lady spied me carrying Abigail.  There was not an empty seat in the "house" so we took our bags to a fence in the shade.  Liz took Abigail into the pool with her and I took pictures.  In a few minutes the lady who spied me earlier came up to me and said, "I saw you carrying the baby when all of you came in and I decided when we were ready to leave that we would give you our 2 recliners so you could sit with the baby."  How sweet of her!  I thanked her profusely and proceeded to gather up our things by the fence and follow her to the chairs!  Before long Liz brought Abigail to me and we both relaxed while Brad and Tim played with Ryan and Hannah.  Here are some pool shots.

Tim coming down the slide.  Caught him in the air!

There is Hannah just hitting the water with her feet.

Anticipation showing all over Ryan's face!

After playing in the outside pool, we went to an inside pool.  I had so much fun just watching Ryan jumping into the pool!  Between the faces he made and the "tricks" he performed he was certainly entertaining to watch!

Later on Monday, we went to "downtown" to check out a free carnival.  It turned out to be only 3 of the big blowup bouncy toys and every kid in Myrtle was already there, so we just walked around and went down on the beach to walk.  On the way back to the camp, we stopped at DQ.  Abigail is ready for bed!
Tuesday, July 12.  Tim and I got up early to walk on the beach on Tuesday morning.  We walked for about an hour and a half.  When we got back Brad was getting ready to fix breakfast!  Tim helped him some.

YUMMY!

After breakfast we went to the beach before Tim and I got ready to come home.

Wednesday, July 13.  Made a visit and Tim's cucumber plant is MASS producing!  The green peppers are starting to get big, too!

I made some more Cucumber Salsa and shared it with Brad.  Also made some more pickles and shared with Brad.

Thursday, July 14.  Spent the entire afternoon painting for VBS.

Friday, July 15.  Liz and family left the beach and spent the night.  While outside with Ryan and Hannah, we saw 5 rabbits out behind the church fellowship hall.

Saturday, July 16.  Holding Abigail before she leaves to go home.

Sunday, July 17.  When turning over a jar to drain the contents to the bottom, be sure and twist the lid shut! Otherwise you end up with a nice mess!  More VBS painting and getting crafts ready.

Monday, July 18.  This in light of the Casey Anthony murder trial.  Last week's sign.

Tuesday, July 19.  Just need a few finishing touches after I buy gold and silver paint.

Wall mural.
 Photo op.
For bean bag toss.  The white circles will be cut out.

Wednesday, July 20.  Worked on crocheting baby items all day.

Thursday, July 21.  Thrift stores.  Bought paint to complete VBS props and finished them.  Also finished up the baby shower gifts - yellow sun suit with matching headband and Mary Jane shoes, blanket and matching winter hat, baby bunting.

Friday, July 22.  That brings me to 2:31 a.m............right now................I will be completing the VBS crafts today.  Right now I'm catching up on the check book entries.  Looks like we are FLAT broke!  :D

Til next time.  Love you all!

So, when do you have "collapsing from exhaustion" on your schedule?!?!? Looks like fun, but I always pay for it these days. :-/
