Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Dear Friends.........

No, that title is NOT a salutation for a letter.............today Tim and I are going to visit a DEAR FRIEND from way back in the 80's when Tim was the assistant to Bro. Hensley at Addyston Baptist Church in Addyston, OH.....She and her husband's lives originated right here in WV.  Her dearly beloved has gone home to be with his LORD and she "comes home" quite frequently.  Tim is preaching revival at her sister's church.  I told her sister I was hoping she might be around while we were here, but her sister said she had just left.  Well, the next time we saw her sister, she had discovered that she was still here and had invited us to come and see her.  So, today we are going to do that.  I'm going to keep you guessing for now.  I'll post a picture later on to reveal who this DEAR FRIEND is!

We were supposed to have rain from today on, but they have changed the forecast and it is to be near 70 today!  We shall see!

Have a blessed day!
