Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Accountability

Today is D Day.....but not the D Day some of you are thinking of.....................this was diet day...........the beginning.  And my accountability (some of it) is right here with YOU!

So, here's a rundown of my day.
Brunch at 10:30
oatmeal with cinnamon and a bit of sugar
Dinner at 3:30
vegetable soup (a bowl and a half)

To drink today I finished up the last inch of coke from the 2-liter.  That will be the last coke I have for quite awhile.  The rest of the day I drank water.

I also did 27 minutes of walking.  I had Tim bring up the Nordik Trak form the basement, but after trying 4 or 5 times off and on through the day to "work" it, I gave up and decided walking on the ground was best for me!  :D

The beast!  Tim and I had one of these about 10 years ago.  For some reason (probably age, lol) I had no problems working it.  Anyway.....................

................I'll just stick to the old fashioned walking!  I started out saying to myself that I was only going to do 15 minutes.  But, as I walked I decided I needed to walk at least as long as the music lasted on one side of the tape!  So, it turned into a 27 minute walk.  Pretty boring walking in circles around the parking lot so I added the drive.  That didn't help much!  Now, I just hope I can move tomorrow!

Stick with it mom! Just remember it is all about balance. Don't get bogged down by eating tuna all day. Make real life changes. Cutting out pop is a great start and walking is even better. Like I suggested to Jess, exchange your computer chair for one of those big exercise balls for awhile each day.
