Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Normal Felt Good

Today being Thursday, we did our normal thrift store thing.  Out of the ordinary today was visiting one of the members of church in the hospital.  But, other than that, it was a normal day off.  We were able to separate the emotions of the last couple of days and just enjoyed the day with some laughter and normalcy.

We went to the hospital first but had to go back later as "he" was not in his room.  So, we did our four thrift stops near us and then went to lunch at KFC.  I ordered a chicken pot pie and Tim got his 4-wing meal that he usually gets when we eat at KFC.  The pot pie was really good!  :D

After we ate, we went back to the hospital.  The nurse was on her way to get "him" and bring him back to the room.  We were there maybe half an hour and then went to a few more thrifts east of us, then came home til time for supper.

We had decided we wanted to eat at the Thai Cafe in King and hit the thrift store while there.  Then to Walmart to pick up some items for Tim's hospital stay, then.....home again, home again, jiggity jig.  :D

Got to skype with Jessica and the boys tonight.  They played with play doh while we watched and talked to them.

All in all, we had a great and relaxing day.  Normal felt good!  :D

Here's some pictures with explanations as you go.

I have NO IDEA what this gally whomper is, but he looks very prehistoric to me!  Anyone know what it is?

My mums are starting to look very pretty again.  Hope the frost doesn't kill them!  We  have been taking the hanging ones from the car port down and placing them on the floor of the car port between our 2 vehicles the last couple of nights.

We had a temperature of 30 this morning and it only warmed up to 57.  It was pretty cloudy and windy!  But a nice day.  You can see the frost on the ground and on the church roof.

Took this picture at the hospital.

Here's what I had at the Thai Cafe.....Chicken Prik Paow Cashew with medium spiciness.  Very good!  Huge portions and so we have 2 meals for the price of 1 since we brought home leftovers!  :D

These photos show the cloud cover and also the rays of the sun shining through the clouds.  Love capturing the sun shining through the clouds!

And a few of the trees changing colors on the drive home.
