Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

A Day in the Life

A couple of weeks ago, Tim and I found this little square (it looks rectangular from the angle of the picture) griddle that is just perfect for making grilled cheese sandwiches!  It was brand new and we got it for $2!  We use it all the time!  Great find!

Tonight's dinner was chicken stir fry with Teriyaki sauce.  I love sugar snap peas so that is the the name on the frozen veggies bag I get for stir fry.  This particular bag had lots of green veggies in it.  Usually it seems to have more carrots!

So, I bought Tim some Dove Dark Chocolate candy last week.  He doesn't go through bags of candy the way I do, otherwise it would have been gone already!  Well, I don't normally like dark chocolate (not the Hershey's nuggets, anyway) but today I tried one of these!  Still not my favorite, but it was not bad at all!  Tim told me to help myself!  Yeah, he'll be sorry he said that!  :D

Amazingly enough, the poinsettia we bought for decorating the church for Christmas in memory of my parents and in honor of Tim's parents, still has LOTS of beautiful red leaves!  This is a first for me!  Usually within a week or so all of the leaves have dropped off and I just pitch the pot and all in the trash.  It's been almost 2 months and this one is still going strong!  Of course, I probably just jinxed myself!  :D

Saying goodnite on that beautiful note!  :D
