Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Shopping and Bible Journaling

Today I went to Salisbury and went shopping with Elisabeth.  She found some clothes for the girls and a cardboard display (the science fair type) for Ryan.  I found stickers for my Bible journaling.

From AC Moore

From Dollar Tree

Used a photo of Jessica Day's for the rooster.

Woke up with another one of those headaches and thought I was going to have to cancel my trip to spend the day with Elisabeth.  But, I went anyway, headache and all!  I just kept popping the Tylenol all day.  It didn't help much, but I managed.

We shopped for 1 1/2 hours in the mall in Concord.  Next we cross the street to the AC Moore where we spent maybe 1/2 hour.  Then we went to Sonny's BBQ and we both had a delicious roasted turkey on garlic bread sandwich and fries.  That took about 45 minutes.  Next we went to a smaller mall, but I'm not sure where it was.  Maybe Kannapolis?  And our last stop was a KMart near Elisabeth.  She found a couple of matching sweater dresses for the girls there for $2 each!  She found some great bargains today!

Tim ran a little fever this morning, but for the most part, felt good all day!  That is good news!  He did not go with Liz and I shopping, but he did go to our regular 2 Goodwills and had lunch at Arby's.  I'm glad he was not feverish most of the day like the last time!

Tomorrow is the Preacher's Fellowship in WV.  We are leaving at 9:30 a.m. as the sponsoring church is further into WV than the others we attend.  Means getting back later tomorrow night, too!

Nite!
