Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

A Full Day

We left the house at 8:30 this morning.  Our thrifting took us to Charlotte today.  It began with breakfast at IHOP in Salisbury.  Tim orders the 55+ Sunshine breakfast, which is supposed to be less food than the regular portion, but it sure didn't look like it was any less food!  I usually get an egg sandwich with BLT and mayo, which I did today.  I cannot order a BLT with egg or it comes as a double-decker and I cannot eat that much!

Here are my photos for the day.
Playing with the camera settings on my phone while waiting for breakfast.  Still cannot figure out how to get the picture flipped.

My favorite sandwich, half of it already devoured!  :D
Is this a variation of holly?  The leaves don't look like the typical holly leaf.  One of the Goodwills had a hedge row of this.

A selfie taken with the new camera.

Took several pictures of the sky.  Since I was taking right into the sun, I used the BEACH setting on the camera.

This one is looking through the window.  You can see all of the dirt and the camera focused on that dirt instead of the sun!

Zoomed in on this helicopter that was hovering over the interstate.  Checking speed?  Watching for accidents?  Don't know.  That's the color of the sky not looking directly into the sun.

Loved this old truck.

We finished thrifting at around 3:30.  That is longer than Tim usually lasts.  Since we hadn't eaten anything since breakfast, we found the nearest Ruby Tuesday so we could try their new 55+ items salad bar.  It was good, but I don't thing it was $9.99 good, especially since I could only eat one plate full.
These fake pine trees are disguising cell towers.  They look odd.  I wonder if one particular company puts these up?

Found these spice blends at Tuesday Morning.  Looking forward to trying them out.

Some goodies found today.  This is a Creative Memories notebook that has sheet protectors for stickers for scrapbooking.  I am going to use it for rubber and cling stamps.

The paperback books were still $0.99 and the hardback books $1.39 at all of the Charlotte Goodwills.  And several of the Debbie Macomber books have 2 books in one.  So, that was a bargain!

This was my bargain of the day.  This huge storage container was filled with cling and rubber stamps and a few other misc. items.

This is everything that was included in the storage case for $12.99.  The case itself had $17.99 from Hobby Lobby marked on it!

I REALLY like these stamp storage sleeves!  Gonna see if I can find them on line.

Not sure exactly what these are.  I thought they were for stenciling, but the "white" part  is not empty.  It is a very thin layer of something.

Here's a closer picture.  I'll have to figure out what to do with them.  They were in the big storage container.
Well, we had a good day today.  There was a light frost on the ground this morning, but it warmed up quickly.  Around 11 we took our jackets off.  I am hoping my daffodils are close enough to the house that the overhang protected them from the frost.  We shall see!  :D
