Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

News and Such

I have been super busy since my last post.  Mostly working in my craft room, trying to reorganize and get rid of some stuff.  I've only succeeded in getting rid of a little bit.  But, I'll be working on it more and more as time goes on.  For right now, I'm calling it quits.  At least things are put away.  I can even shut the closet door!  :D

Tomorrow Tim will have the routine CT on his chest, abdomen and pelvic areas.  The brain MRI won't be until March.  The surgery and skin graft on his chest is all healed up.  He has a crater in his chest, but, praise the Lord, no more bleeding and bandaging morning and night!

Unfortunately, he has a lump on his left leg right above the knee that has been growing.  And today he found another old lump on his right bicep just above the bend of his arm, has begun to grow again.  So, we are sure the treatment of meds #6 and 7 are diminishing in effectiveness.  There are no more melanoma medicines available, or trials that he can get into.  So, the only thing to do is go back on a previous medicine that did not work so his body can forget that it is resistant to the current treatment.  In the meantime, the melanoma will grow like wild fire until the doctor thinks it is time to try the current treatment again.  The effectiveness lasted longer this second time around than the first.  Probably between 10-11 months.

So, if the Lord brings Tim to your remembrance tomorrow, please pray about the CT scan and pray for a melanoma medicine that the Lord will allow to cure Tim completely!  Thank you in advance!!

OK, here's some photos you've been missing, I'm sure!  :D  There are a couple of "bonus" videos, too.
Here's our brand-spanking new toaster oven!  We use it all the time!  The one we got at the thrift store last year was dying.  The longer you had to cook something, the louder it got!  This one is so quiet, you don't even know it is running!  And, it has convection capability, too, which I know nothing about.  I love the double racks and the oven is digital!

This is a craft storage thing I found at the thrift store last week.

Here it is opened up.

A better view of it opened up.

These next 3 show the items I put in it.  Things to take along on a trip.

Tim and I went to the NC Preachers' Fellowship on Monday.
This chicken was yummy!  Super moist and flavorful!  That is our Jessica's peach salsa on top.
Today day was so pretty as we did our thrifting in High Point.  But, by the time we were finished, the wind had picked up and the cold front began to move in!  The temperature dropped quickly from the high of 65 that I saw!

Traveling with my favorite guy!

YUM!  Pizza from Vinnie's.
Results of craft room reorganization.  The desk has been moved all he way to the left, butting up on the wall.  The black shelf was on the wall under the blue and black storage on the right wall (behind the laptop), but moved to the left of the desk now, next to the trash can.

I got the dresser from the neighbor to store lots of miscellaneous stuff out of sight.  Right now there is nothing in the pink drawers to the left side of the dresser.  The shelves on the right of the dresser were in the space where the laptop now sits.  The little gray folding table my laptop is sitting on also came from the neighbor's.

I should have taken a "before" picture of the closet!  It was a mess!  I couldn't even close the door!  I got rid of and moved some stuff out of there.
Thanks for stopping by!

I love your organized room! Great minds think alike because I will be organizing my office over the weekend too. We are about to start the next grade, which means switching books, different school supplies, etc.

We will be continuing to pray for Tim. I am so glad his surgery site is all healed up. What a new life it will be for him to not deal with that.

Love you both!
