Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Nature

Today's photo prompt is NATURE and that reminds me of this song:

This is My Father's World
Maltbie D. Babcock, 1901
English melody
arranged by Franklin L. Sheppard
published 1915

This is my Father's world,
And to my list'ning ears
All nature sings, and round me rings
The music of the spheres.
This is my Father's world:
I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas -
His hand the wonders wrought.

This is my Father's world:
The birds their carols raise,
The morning light, the lily white,
Declare their Maker's praise.
This is my Father's world:
He shines in all that's fair;
In the rustling grass I hear Him pass,
He speaks to me everywhere.

This is my Father's world:
Oh, let me ne'er forget
That though the wrong seems oft so strong,
God is the ruler yet.
This is my Father's world,
The battle is not done:
Jesus who died shall be satisfied,
And earth and heav'n be one.

Subjects:  Praise, Creation, Assurance
Scripture:  Psalm 24:1; 50:12; 1 Corinthians 15:25

Nature around us is blooming!  We went to Walmart to pick up some groceries and I took these on the way back to the house.
I believe these are Japanese Cherry trees (?)

More white blooms

This phone picture is not very good, but there were red, white, pink, yellow blooms along this stretch of road going towards the house!

So, today has been super busy.  We have a missionary coming to church tomorrow night and he will be staying here in the parsonage for the night and then leave Monday morning.  So, that always entails a bit more work on my part.  More cleaning than I usually do on the weekend.  Plus still doing the laundry, cleaning the bathrooms, and cleaning the church this month.

And, Tim did a devotion for the neighbor from Psalm 23 while Lori and I sang.  Then Tim came home and I helped Lori get Mrs. Morton's leg bandaged and back in bed.  She was very receptive of Tim, and bowed her head when he prayed and listened quietly while he talked.  Even laughed with him a few times, which was good.  You never know when she will have a bad attitude day and refuses to cooperate.  Thank You, Lord!

Cleaned the church, more laundry, sweeping, mopping, general pick-up of my stuff, changing bed linens, yada, yada, yada.  Saving the dusting til tomorrow afternoon, after the dust from sweeping has settled!

For supper tonight, I fixed the Salsa Lime Chicken that I fixed on Feb. 10th for the first time.  Click on the link if you want a refresher on the recipe.  It is super simple to make!  I used Great Value Medium Salsa this time and it definitely gave the recipe more of a kick heat-wise!  We liked Aldi's salsa better.

Praying you have a blessed Lord's Day tomorrow!
