Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Oh, You Can Kiss Me on a Monday.......

Do you remember that song?  I didn't know it was by Petula Clark.  Remember her?  :D  I found it sung by many people when I did a google search, so I'm not sure who originally did the song.
Never on a Sunday
Petula Clark
Oh, you can kiss me on a Monday
A Monday, a Monday is very very good
Or you can kiss me on a Tuesday
A Tuesday, a Tuesday in fact I wish you would
Or you can kiss me on a Wednesday
A Thursday, a Friday, and Saturday is best
But never never on a Sunday
A Sunday, a Sunday 'cause that's my day of rest

Come anyday and you'll be my guest
Anyday you say but my day of rest
Just name the day that you like the best
Only stay away on my day of rest

You can kiss me on a cool day
A hot day, a wet day which ever one you choose
Or try to kiss me on a grey day
A May day, a pay day and see if I refuse
And you make it on a bleake day
A freak day, a week day why you can be my guest
But never never on a Sunday
A Sunday's the one day I need a day to rest

Just name the day that you like the best
Only stay away on my day of rest

Never on a Sunday when the church is full of people
And the bells are ringing in the steeple, la la...

Oh you can kiss me on a Monday
Monday, Monday's very good
Or you can kiss me on a Tuesday
Tuesday and I wish you would
Or you can kiss me on a Wednesday
Thursday, Friday and Saturday is best
But never never on a Sunday
Sunday, Sunday 'cause that's my day of rest

I thought about this song as I was thinking of a title for the blog post tonight.  And when "Day of Rest" crossed my mind, this song came to mind.  So, there you have it!  I can think of lots of songs at times when someone says something to me.  Or, I think of things dad used to say all the time.  Not sure what that means, LOL!  It is what it is!  :D

Anyway, today being Sunday, I took the opportunity to make it a day of total rest and relaxation!
Mostly, this is the activity I pursued today!  The book I just finished by Terri Blackstock, "Intervention?"  Well, this is the sequel to it, "Vicious Cycle," that I started last night.  I finished it tonight!  It, too, was a good book!!!!!

The daffodils in front of the house will bloom soon!

I did this week's sign, just so I had an excuse to be outside!

Budding tree across the road

LOVE capturing the rays of the sun coming through clouds!

Yes, the 70+ degree weather today called for flip flops!

Flying quickly, so it was hard to zoom in on this hawk that was carrying on about something.

More cloud pictures.

Still too blurry.

This plane was moving pretty quickly through the sky for me to get a good zoom-in on it!

Another one getting ready to bloom at church.

Hubby looking over his notes on the Life of Solomon that we started tonight.

Ready for another week?  Hope you have a great one!
