Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Thrifty Thursday

Here's the shawl I finished last night.  Mine turned out 5 inches shorter than what the pattern said, so I have no idea what happened!  The only thing I still need to do is weave in the ends of the yarn.
Two daffodils in the front of the house.  I took these before we left the house, lest I forgot again.
The color is better in this picture
LOVE our Thursdays!  Number 1 because we are spending the entire day with one another.  Number 2 because we eat out.  Number 3 because it is fun to look for thrifty bargains!

Today we ate breakfast at IHOP, which means we did not eat lunch.  So, by 3 o'clock we were getting pretty hungry!

We did our thrifting west and south of us in Cornelius, Mooresville, Troutman and Statesville.

Love spending the day with this guy.

We are confused why someone would give a name like this to a "ministry."
Bargains from the first group of thrifts.  Love the cover on the notebook.  Going to put Bible study notes in it.

A tad chilly today (low 50's) but beautiful!

Mr. Crow in the neighbor's tree.

We got home around 1:30, I guess.  While I did a few things around the house, Tim went to Metro PC to replace his phone that I dropped in the car and it hit the metal bar under my seat and cracked the screen.  When he got back we left again to go to our regular thrifts and then we headed to Ruby Tuesday in Clemmons.  We ate our favorite pork chops.  No leftovers!  :D
Today was a Debbie Macomber day.

I got ready to put paper in the new notebook tonight and when I opened it and saw 4 rings instead of 3 I knew I was in trouble!  Come to find out, this notebook is for A4 (European) paper which is 8.25"x11.5" I believe.  So, I thought I would put  legal paper in it, but the only "legal" pads of paper that Walmart had were 8 x 11 paper.  And to put 9x12 paper in it was going to be a nuisance to run it through a copier to get lines on it.  So, I decided that I would just punch more holes in regular notebook paper.  It'll work!  Where there's a will, there's a way!

Today's photo prompt:  From where I stand.  I cannot keep that desk cleaned off!

There you have it!  Thrifty Thursday!
