Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Brain MRI Time for Tim

Tomorrow morning, please pray the MRI shows NO melanoma!  We will know before we leave the doctor's office because he can read the MRI.

Today was a knitting day.  I sat in my reading chair in the "formal" living room (by the dining room) most of the afternoon, after Tim took me to lunch at KFC.  And, other than changing the church sign, that is all I did.

Photos from today:
Started out very chilly this morning, but turned out to be a pretty nice afternoon and very enjoyable with a sweatshirt.

Sun going down behind the church.  No, that's not a snake in the foreground!  It is one of those things you add to the end of the rain spout to divert the rain water.....if you know what I mean!

I was disappointed because my camera would not zoom in any closer on this bird for whatever reason.

A few of the sweet ladies of our church arriving for the evening services.

THIS is the color of the baby blanket!  I had to switch the setting to automatic and used the flash.  I knitted this afternoon until I ran out of yarn.  I have another skein to add, but I'm ready to read the rest of the evening.

This is the new sign.  I'm gaining on the "aged" category!  :D
Have a wonderful week!

We are praying for Tim! God is in control. I know you know that, but it feels good to say anyway.
