Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

More Double Vision

I'm probably going to have to put my foot down and insist that Tim NOT spend so much time in the office.  Not only does brain fatigue cause him to have double vision, but he begins walking like a drunken man.

He went to the office between 8 and 8:30 a.m.  Ilene was next door helping Lori with her yard sale and she saw Tim walking to the office in pretty good shape.  But, by the time he came to the house around 11:30, he was not walking that great, even with my help.

I fixed his lunch and then he laid down for about 3 hours while I went to Walmart.  After he got up, he went back to the office while supper was cooking, but he came back about 45 minutes later.  He sat in his recliner to do some reading before supper.  We sat in front of the TV while we ate so he could watch the news.  He began seeing double.  It left, but came back while we were out under the car port watching the birds.  It left again before we came back into the house around 7:30.  All afternoon his walk was not that steady.

I asked him how his devotion for Mallard Ridge was coming along.  He said he is having problems reading and maneuvering on the computer because of his eye sight.  So, you know he is straining his eyes and on a normal person, that causes fatigue, so I'm not surprised he was having problems with double vision and balance.  He let his brain become too tired!  Yes, I will have to make sure that doesn't happen again!  He won't heal if he doesn't let his brain recuperate!

I did send a note to his oncologist about requesting a CT scan of his chest, abdomen and pelvic area since the melanoma is in his brain.  He is coughing quite a bit, too, which makes me wonder if he could have something going on with his lungs.  I voiced this concern to the doctor.  Hopefully, he will agree to doing a CT scan.

I took a ton of pictures today of the birds.  I put up some new feeders and suet cages and even a hummingbird feeder.  Plus cleaned out the bird bath and filled it with water.  But, I'm only going to post a few pictures.  I'm pretty tired myself and ready for bed!
The view of the birds as of today.

New suet cage

New hummingbird feeder with home made nectar.

Another suet cage given to me from Tim's mom.

Another finch feeder (new) and another bird feeder I found in the basement.

Another beautiful day and evening!
