Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

ER Visit

Emergency Room
The one we went to at 6:00 on Friday night was PACKED!  And they just kept coming in after we got there!  I knew it was going to be a long night!  And, it was!  We got home around 3:30 a.m.

Tim began having double vision again yesterday.  We had been advised by the doctors to go to the hospital if the double vision came back.  We were hoping it would go away during the day.  So, we finally left the house around 5:40.  Better to be safe than sorry!

Long story short, it was almost 11:30 before they did a CT scan of his brain.  It was another 2 hours before he finally got a "room" and the nurses started attending to him.  Finally a neurologist had looked at the CT scan and compared it to the last brain MRI and came into the room to talk to Tim and check him physically.  He told us that it looked like a lesion on the front left upper lobe of his brain had gotten bigger and was "brighter" compared to the MRI.  We waited another hour or so when he informed the nurse attending Tim that he felt it was safe for Tim to go home.  But, we are to follow up with his regular doctors on Monday.

I am praying the double vision is from lack of restful sleep while he was taking the chemo pill (which he took the last one last night for this round).  I am praying he will be able to sleep better since he didn't take a chemo pill tonight.  We shall see.

So, if the side affects Tim experienced during the first 5 chemo pills is an indication of what is in store every time he takes it, it won't be too bad.  I just pray it kills the cancer.  There doesn't appear to be any tumor shrinkage yet, however.

As soon as he got up today, he checked his iPad to see if he was going to be able to teach his Sunday night lesson.  He says he thinks he will be able to do it!  I sure hope so!

Tim says he feels just fine.  We went to Walmart this evening and he had to hold onto me or the cart due to the double vision.  Thanks for your continued prayer support!
