Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Lazy Day

Another restless night for Tim last night.  When he came back to bed at 7:30, I got up.  It is a good time for me to do my reading.  I don't want to be banging around in the kitchen because you can hear everything that goes on in the kitchen from the bedroom.

He went to the office later and printed out his lesson for tomorrow night so he could study it.  He also worked on a sermon for Sunday morning.  His double vision has not cleared up yet, unfortunately!  And the MRI that was scheduled for Thursday has been postponed until Next Wednesday, August 2nd, so it could be done at the MRI building and with sedation.

We waited for the sun to go down behind the trees before we went out to the carport tonight.  I finally got a picture of BOTH hummers feeding, too!

I'm tired and ready for bed!  This has been a lazy day.  I went to Walmart and the post office.  But, most of the day was spent reading.  I did fix a decent supper for a change tonight.  Pork chops and gravy, mashed potatoes and green beans.  We only ate half, so we will have the other half for leftovers.

Until tomorrow.............
