Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

In Times Like These

I went to check out some apartments today that base your rental on your income.  There is a waiting list and she took my name and will call me when something becomes available.  I saw a couple of pictures that looked pretty nice.  If it is the Lord's will that I move there, He will open the door.  If not, He will open a different door.

I stopped at Walmart for some things on the way back to the house.  Then after I got home and checked the mail, I had received the insurance check.  It is not available til the 20th of the month after I deposited it.

I also got a couple of love gifts; one from my church (they continue to do for me above and beyond what they need to do and I am so grateful!) and from a church in Cincinnati.  So, I went back to Walmart to make the deposit and get it into a safe place.

The weather was dreary and sprinkly all day.  I didn't feel like doing a thing!  So, basically, I didn't do much.  I took some things out of the chest of drawers here in the craft room and put them into my last box I have until Joy brings me some more.

We had the Mallard Ridge services tonight.  Everyone missed Tim being there.  Joy sang a beautiful song:

In Times Like These Lyrics (no matter what you are going through)

In times like these you need a Savior,
In times like these you need an anchor;
Be very sure, be very sure,
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

This Rock is Jesus, Yes He's the One,
This Rock is Jesus, the only One;
Be very sure, be very sure,
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

In times like these you need the Bible,
In times like these, O be not idle;
Be very sure, be very sure,
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

This Rock is Jesus, Yes He's the One,
This Rock is Jesus, the only One;
Be very sure, be very sure,
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

In times like these I have a Savior,
In times like these I have an anchor;
I'm very sure, I'm very sure
My anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

This Rock is Jesus, Yes He's the One,
This Rock is Jesus, the only One;
Be very sure, be very sure,
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

Here's to your health!  This not-so-green smoothie was pretty good!

Here's the recipe if you are interested:
Strawberry Spinach Smoothie
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
1/4 cup plain non fat Greek yougurt
2 cups fresh baby spinach
1/2 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
1 frozen banana, broken into chunks
1/2 T honey
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract (My yogurt had vanilla in it, so I didn't add this ingredient)
1/2 cup of ice (did not use)

Place all of the ingredients in the blender.  Blend until smooth.  Serve in two glasses immediately.

I didn't sleep well, so I'm going to bed.   Nite!
