Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Gettysburg

I'm spending the Memorial Day weekend in Gettysburg, PA with Tim's mom and sister. Instead of traveling to their house and then making the trip with them, I drove straight there.  I left the house at 8:30 this morning and arrived just after 3 p.m.

I had a great trip. It was cloudy a lot of the time with a few showers. It was a hot day. Thank the Lord for air conditioning! I noticed during a rain shower in WV the temperature went from 91 degrees to 74 degrees! But as soon as the rain ceased the temperature went right back to 91.

The computer system was down, so we could not check in when we arrived. We sat in the lobby at least an hour. Once in the room we settled in and talked until we got hungry. We ate at Ruby Tuesday. Then came back to the hotel room and settled down for the evening and read before retiring to bed.

I would post some pictures,  but I can't figure out how to get the ones I took today!

Night!
