Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Zippedy Doo Dah

I've always wanted to try my hand at ziplining!  So, my girls and their families bought Mark and I a couple of gift certificates to do just that as we honeymoon here in Boone.  We went to Hawk's Nest Skiing and Ziplining just a little over 5 miles from our cabin.  We did the beginners' tour.  It was nothing like I thought it would be!  I imagined that we would be doing one single zip down a 1 1/2 mile of line and that would be it!  I'm so glad it was not that way!  There were a total of 11 lines that we traveled. Each one progressively more challenging, I guess you could say!  But, it was never so challenging that this 63 (in a month) year old could not handle it!  LOL!  Are we going to do it again?  You can bet your bottom dollar that we will be back to do it again!  Here's pictures from our day:

A wonderful view out on the deck for morning reading.

Hubby doing his reading.

Looking up over the cabin

We ate breakfast (late) at Cracker Barrel, stopped at the Cornerstone Christian Bookstore and looked at some art we want to either buy or duplicate for the house when we get far enough to decorate the walls, then went back to the cabin to dress and headed on our way to our 2:00 ziplining tour..........
It was CRAZY busy at Cracker Barrel!  We had to wait about 15 minutes!

Those of you from NC will know who this guy of the mountains is............

Hawksnest

Ready!

Someone from our group zipping down the line just above Mark's head.

One of our tour guides.

Ziplining through the woods was my favorite part!  Not to mention cooler temps!

The other tour guide, Carson.

We had a great time!  Of course, Hawksnest had someone taking pictures during the first part of our tour that they gladly sold to us!  We got one each of us.

And so you don't feel left out, the guy of the mountains is a picture of Grandfather Mountain, basically right down the road from us.  Mile high bridge sound familiar?  You need to visit him if you ever come to the north western part of NC!

We met Brother Dale and Juanita Wallace at "Over Yonder" restaurant (across the street from the original Mast General Store) in Valle Crucis for a wonderful dinner!  Thank you, Brother Dale, for treating us to a honeymoon meal!

And that was our day!
