LOOOOOOOOONG DAY!

Left the house at 12:30 p.m. to begin the trip to spend the week with our oldest daughter, who invited me to come up and stay before she has to go back to work in a couple of weeks!  She didn't have to ask me twice!  I will try to go anytime I am invited to spend some time with my kids!  :D  It's one of the perks of not working!  :D

The gas in Wytheville, VA is ALWAYS about $0.20 cheaper than our gas and today was no exception.....$1.99/gal.!  Since I had to stop for gas, I also got lunch at McDonalds.

The trip was uneventful, praise the Lord!  Very foggy in the mountains and rainy in Virginia.  Rained some in WV, but eventually cleared up for a little while.  But, the temps were dropping quickly!  And the wind really picked up!  By the time I got to Nat's the temp had dropped about 15 degrees from where it was when I left the house.....55 degrees.

When I rang the door bell, it woke Nat and Adalina up.  It took her quite a while to wake up completely!

Adalina stretching in grandma's lap trying to wake up.
I was so glad that she came right to me when I reached for her!  Since we don't get to see her and her mommy and daddy very often, I figure the older she gets, the more hesitant she will become  to want to come right to me.  So I tried to get all the hugs she would give me while I was there today.  I stayed and visited for 2 hours.

Addy playing in the floor, still not completely awake.
Addy has got the prettiest hair!  It is so thick and has such a pretty wave!  She is just another very pretty grandchild the Lord has blessed us with!  :D

I didn't get to see Cheryl as she ended up having to work.  I left Nat and Addy about 6:30 and headed to Jessica's.  More rain and the temp. dropping quickly!  By the time I got to her house at about 9:10 it was 32 degrees and I had been in rain AND snow AND high winds!

The Lord blessed me with a safe trip!  Tomorrow, Jessica wants me to help her get started on her brand new, still in the box from a couple of years, sewing machine!  :D  We will take the boys to school and go to JoAnn's for some supplies.

Before I forget again, like I did last night, here is a page I did with just Tim and I and all the grand kids.
I chose the name of the kit, Blessings, as the theme for this page.  Designer, Lori Imel at Scrappy Bee.
Nite!
