The fluctuation of gas prices is aggravating! It seems they always go up right before a holiday and then drops back down (trickle-down) after the holiday. The Labor Day weekend is when it jumped up "over night" the last time to $2.45/gal. That seems like price gouging to me! Today I paid $2.28 for it at Walmart's Murphy USA in High Point.
I got 10 more tiki lights for the fire pit area. Plus I got 3 lanterns, more oil, tons of citronella "bracelets" and spices for cooking at the fire pit. I also got hot dogs and hamburger today! I'm going to try and find some pots and pans at the thrift.
Mark and I rode the bike to Mallard Ridge tonight. The weather is still reaching the 90's here in NC. I am soooooo ready for some fall weather! I sure pray it doesn't go from summer to winter over night! I love the fall season!
Lovely clouds on the drive to Mallard Ridge tonight!
If you have been following my blog for several years, you know I used to collect Christian fiction books at the thrifts. I put them all in the craft shed. But, I haven't read any of them since before Tim died. So, I decided to take them to our church's "ladies'" library so someone could benefit from them, at least! I kept the Bible study books but I may eventually put those over there, too. So, tomorrow I'm going to begin rearranging things in the craft shed. I REALLY want to begin spending time out there working on projects during the day! I'm itching to get my fingers dirty with paint! :D
Thank You, LORD, for a good day!

I can't believe you got rid of the books! You collected them for so long! But, you're right - if you weren't going to use them, at least someone else can.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what crafts are in your future!
