Patty Wack Challenge at A Moment in Scrap and a FREEBIE!

WELCOME to the Patty Wack Challenge for March 2010 at A Moment in Scrap! Your challenge this month is to create a St. Patrick's Day themed layout using the Nick Nack Patty Wack Add-on Mini Kit that you can download for free from my store HERE. Your page is to include AT THE MINIMUM the following items from the free mini kit:
2 papers
1 frame
1 journal or tag element
1 prong or staple
1 ribbon or flourish
And last, but not least, ONE picture


If your page does NOT include ALL of these items, you will forfeit your eligibility for a chance to win the prize. But, you CAN use more of the mini kit than the required minimum.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! I will TRY to check this thread every day for questions and/or layout links.

The prize, you ask?! One "LUCKY" person will win my full-sized page kit, Nick Nack Patty Wack, valued at $5.50! It is a HUGE kit with 25 papers and 78 elements and will be available beginning March 1st! The winner will be announced in this thread in April.

Why Go to Church?

A good friend from the power plant where I worked in WV sent this to me. I think it is a perfect message for today!


Why Go to Church?
A Church goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and
complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday.
"I've gone for 30 years now," he wrote, "and in that time I
have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of
me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm
wasting my time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving
sermons at all."

This started a real controversy in the "Letters to the Editor"
column, much to the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks
until someone wrote this clincher:

"I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has
cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot
recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals But I do
know this.. They all nourished me and gave me the strength I
needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals,
I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone
to church for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!"
When you are DOWN to nothing.... God is UP to something! Faith
sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the
impossible! Thank God for our physical AND our spiritual
nourishment!

Nick Nack Patty Wack.....

Give a dog a bone, you say? NO WAY! Not this time! It's the name of my latest and GREATEST kit for you "lucky" people! LOL! I don't believe in luck, you all know that, but I can't resist those cute little leprechauns and who wouldn't want a pot of gold these days?!! Kara Bear

Jessica sent me an e-mail today and said that they had rented a Care Bears movie for Kara to watch, but she calls them Kara Bears! Here's the journaling:
I have pet nicknames for my granddaughters. Hannah's is Hannah Banana and Kara's is Kara Bear. So when Kara wants to watch Care Bears she calls them Kara Bears. Isn't it great to have your own cartoon! So sweet just like my Kara Bear!

The quality of our products is as important to us as it is to you!
With that in mind, all products in our catalog are checked with the following criteria:
* Resolution - the product is 300ppi/dpi for best print quality
* Jagged Edges, Stray and Missing Pixels - the product has been checked and found to contain no jagged edges, or stray/missing pixels
* Excess space - the product has been trimmed to reduce filesize

When you see the above Quality Checked Seal you can be assured your are receiving a quality product from AMS and it's designers.
*Please note products that have not yet been checked will not display the seal, this does not mean they are not quality products, products that have been checked and not passed will be disabled until QC issues are fixed.

The New Blinkie Morphed Already!

I didn't like the jerkiness of the first blinkie so I tried again! This little jewel has 121 frames! It is still a tad jerky, but I give up on getting rid of it. I added a little butterfly to this one! Hope you like it!

OK, at the request of one of my daughters, I'm signing in to let you know that I AM still alive, lol! I'll tell you one thing.......this designing stuff and getting set up in stores is not the fun part of designing, for sure! But I guess most things in life have a bitter to go along with the sweet, huh?! :)

Well, today I created a blinkie for my designing blog, but I wanted to show you all, too. I think it still needs some work to make it flow more smoothly cuz' to me it is too jerky! But, I'll keep working on it and if I improve it, I'll show you!

Well, I have been accepted as a digital designer at the 2Scrappingirls store! WOOHOO! It will be a little while before I am actually showing up there as I get things uploaded, etc, etc, etc! I'll update you with more info later!

I'm Sick and Tired.....

Yes, I really am sick (the sore throat is not so bad today). My head is all stuffed up today and I have had a terrible headache to go along with it. And I have been coughing lots today! Which I am surprised didn't affect my already sore throat! Anyway, I took one nap today trying to get rid of the headache. It did ease up somewhat. But it is back with a vengence tonight and I am tired, so I am going to bed at the unheard of (for me) hour of 9:11!

Jessica Jones, I know you had a root canal today and haven't felt like it, I'm sure, but I did send you an e-mail with a preview of what I have done so far on the Danny Doodle Dragonfly kit I am working on.

So, anyway, that is why I'm sick and tired.......nite!
