Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Dan Nicholas Park

This afternoon, Mark and I rode the bike to Dan Nicholas Park, stopping at KFC on the way for a bucket of chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy and cole slaw and biscuits.  We left the house at 4:45 p.m.  We arrived at the park at 6:00.  We walked down to the lake and sat on a bench to eat our chicken.  It was pretty warm and humid!  The temperature was around 90 when we left the house!  We ate and packed up the leftovers and I took a few pictures of the lake while Mark checked his phone.  We stopped at the bathrooms on the way out.  We arrived back home at 7:36 and traveled a total of 88.9 miles.   Nice trip!

In the last year, we have put only around 1,000 miles on the bike.  It has been a really hot summer and we have not been out on it.  Plus we have been under the weather at times and didn't feel like riding.  Just one thing and another has kept us from putting miles on it!  Hopefully, since the weather is beginning to cool down some, we will be able to ride it more this fall!

Here are the pictures I took along the way and at the park.  Lots of beautiful cloud formations.  Lots of railroad crossings.  Lots of graveyards.  Lots of water and bridges.  Lots of animals.....Enjoy!  I think if you click on the photo you will be able to see it better.  There are ONLY 54!  ;)
