Mark's Christmas holiday began Tuesday afternoon. He treated his boss and co-workers to lunch after they closed up shop for the holiday.
Wednesday, December 25th, was a quiet day for us. The family was not arriving until Thursday. Nathanael and Michael arrived early afternoon on Thursday. Jessica arrived early afternoon on Friday. Elisabeth came up from Salisbury every day. Ilene came and spent the day on Friday with us.
Saturday was the planned family gathering for Mark's kids and my kids. But, as it turned out, schedules and life get in the way sometimes. Nathanael had to leave Friday evening. Michael left Saturday morning (Jessica was sick and couldn't come). Amber and Allen, Mark's son and step-daughter and step-son couldn't make it. But his daughter and step-son's wife came.
The weather was beautiful and warm for all 3 days! Jessica attended our church today and then we met Elisabeth for lunch at Zaxby's before Jessica headed for home. The cousins spent the night here and at Ilene's, which is where Jessica and Terry stayed. And, today it rained! Thank You, LORD, for Your blessings in giving us beautiful weather made for outside activities!
So, all weekend we spent in the woods at the fire pit area. The activities for the kids (and adults) included 4-wheeling, go carting, paint ball war, eating, talking and reminiscing! It was a great weekend! Mark and I are worn out! But, it is a good tired! Thank You, LORD!
Enjoy the pictures from the weekend! I pray you had a wonderful Christmas, too!
