Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Leap Year

We are jumping through this year by leaps and bounds!

Mark and I have had our share of sickness this month!  It all started when I got sick after babysitting.  Then it came back to bite me again!  Finally, Mark ended up with it, too, a couple of weeks ago!  Then, last week Mark had a colonoscopy.  During the procedure he aspirated content from his stomach that came up while he was out of it.  That set off a week of coughing and hacking and just not feeling well.  He was taking an antibiotic due to the aspiration and that made him sick to his stomach.  He is finally seeing the end of it, I believe.  He is feeling better today, anyway!  Thank the Lord!

We went to Ruby Tuesday's for supper tonight.  We just ate sandwiches instead of getting the pork chops or salad bar.

Ilene was gone for 3 long weeks!  She went to Florida to visit with Buford's aunt and cousin.  I was glad to be able to see her this week.  I took her for her mammogram and then we went to lunch and then went to visit Carolyn and Julie, which I forgot to get pictures of!

I've been doing some crafting this month, but not much of anything, really.  I'll certainly be glad when warm weather is here to stay!  We go from hot to cold back to hot!  The flowers and trees are confused!  Ilene's forsythia is all bloomed out.  The daffodils at church are blooming, too!  We had snow right after they bloomed out, but it was basically gone the next day, except for what was in the shaded areas.

We went to the elementary school in Midway tonight to watch Jaxon play a basketball game.  It was an intense game and the good news is that they won by one point.....Jaxon's (he's #3) free throw kept them from having to play in overtime!  Way to go, Jaxon!  Great job!  Great game!

That's it for me for now!  Thanks for stopping by!
