Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Shepherds 360 Conference 2020

Mark and I attended a Pastor and church leader Bible conference Monday - Wednesday of this week.  Our pastor, Bobby Smith, and his wife, Joy, also attended.  The theme was Vision.

"This year's theme is VISION. We'll take a look at what it means to boldly pursue a Biblical vision for advancing the gospel to the glory of Christ. We'll examine how church leaders can expand their expectations not for personal advancement, but for the sovereign purposes of God."

Conference Wrap-up & Closing Comments

As you can see, we were kept quite busy!  But, it was a wonderful kind of busy!  And during the General Sessions, the music was so uplifting, Christ-honoring, and so very worshipful of our great God!  Hopefully some of the video I took during the singing will have small enough files that I can upload them here.  Sent chills up and down my spine and caused me to cry grateful tears some of the time.

The conference was very COVID aware and everyone wore masks (which they provided if you didnt have one) while up walking around.

These were some of the masks that were provided.  Joy tried to take a drink through the mask!  :D

These 3 pictures are from left to right across the platform.  They have their own orchestra, which was really sized down due to the COVID restrictions, but they still did a fantastic job!

This gentleman was the visionary behind the Shepherds Theological Seminary, I believe.  They presented Him with a Bible.  He said, "You've got to be old to receive this" and everyone laughed!

These are the friends (old and new) we went to dinner with Monday and Tuesday afternoons.

The worship team.  Marvelous singers!

Al Mohler was the only speaker who could not be there due to health restrictions during COVID, so we watched a message that he recorded to be played during his time slot.

This is NC Congressman, Mark Walker.  He used to be a pastor until the Lord called him into the political arena.  So glad for the Christians who serve in this capacity!

This is NC Justice Paul Newby.  I believe he is running for Chief Justice, but don't quote me on that!

We did not wear our masks while we were seated in the auditorium.

The pastor, Stephen Davey.

Unfortunately, all of the video I took is more than 100 mb in size, so I cannot upload them for you to listen to.  You will just have to trust me when I say the music was WONDERFUL GOOD!!!  Praise the LORD!

Thank You, LORD, for the opportunity to attend the conference!
