Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

The Hummers Are Back!

Mark saw the hummers earlier in the week.  Yesterday I finally made some sugar water for them and hung it last night.  Tonight the hummers came!  There were at least 3 different ones!  By the time I got my camera set up it was getting pretty dark outside.  The pictures I got are of a male and female ruby throat.

I also saw Mr. and Mrs. House finch at the feeder today.  I haven't seen them much lately.

Today Kim and I picked Mark up for lunch.  Ilene and Carolyn met us at Momma Mia in Wallburg.  After we ate, Kim and I took Mark back to work, stopped by the house to put our leftovers in the fridge, and then we went to Carolyn's house to play Rummikub.  We were there until just after 5 p.m.  Mark was working in the woods when we got home, so Kim and I heated up our leftovers.  Mark ate when he came back into the house.

And that was our day.  Tomorrow Kim is leaving for home.  It seems like she just got here!  How times flies when you are having fun!
