Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Sunflowers!

Done for the September Creative Photo Editing Challenge #1
Journaling reads:
I ordered a packet of mixed sunflower seeds and a packet of Maximillian sunflower seeds and planted them this past Spring. They have just begun to bloom in the last week or so. Now I am trying to figure out the names of those that have come up. The closest I could come up with is that these are Velvet Queen Sunflowers and it looks like there are several varieties (according to my Google search). I love these!

Process:
1. Duplicated the large sunflower photo
2. Enhanced the duplicate to Black and White in PSE15
3. Created the Layer Mask
4. Selected around the portion of the flower I wanted full color returned and filled the selected area in using the hard round brush tool at 100%.
5. Using the dry brush tool at about 50% returned the color in the bottom half of the flower.
6. Clipped both copies of the flower to a photomask that I duplicated.
