Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Our Lord's Day

We had toast and cinnamon french toast sticks for breakfast and then watched our Facebook Live church service began at 10 a.m.  Then Mark and I listened to another message by another pastor before he and Noah ate the roast, potatoes and carrots from the crockpot.  After eating they went to the woods to "piddle."  Mark doesn't like to run the chainsaw on Sundays.  While they were in the woods, I went to the craft shed to do some painting.

CURRENT PROJECT

Noah came back from the woods sooner than Mark because there really wasn't anything for him to do, and I wasn't really feeling like painting, so I asked him if he wanted to play some cards.  We played 2 games of Phase 10.  I whooped up on him, lol!

Mark came up from the woods about the time we started the second game, but he went in and relaxed in his recliner.  He may have taken a nap, too!  :D

How can you lose with this kind of hand?!

He lost the first game 135 to my 30 points.  He lost the second game 300 to my 10 points.
After Mark took Noah home we grabbed some supper and sat in front of the TV.  When my lap is empty, Asher thinks he is supposed to fill it!
Asher dead to the world in my lap.  He sure looks brown here instead of black.

And that was our Lord's Day.  Hope you had a blessed day and that it included some time listening to God's Word being expounded.  Praying you have a good week and that it is safe and healthy.

Thank You, LORD, for Your blessings on me day after day, and for Your mercies that are new to me each day!
