Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Mother's Day 2020

Elisabeth and family brought Olive Garden Lasagna, salad and breadsticks for lunch today after their church service, which was held out in the church parking lot.  Michael called yesterday, Jessica and Nathanael called today.  I love hearing from my children!

A sweet card from the grandkids AND a beautiful planter of petunias from the son-in-law, Brad.....what a guy!

A beautiful day, but chilly unless you were standing in the sun!

Bird activity for the day.

It was interesting to watch the Towhee scratching through the grass to find the seed.  Watch the video.

Watch the Titmouse work on his seed.

I finished listening to "In the Shadow of Jezebel" which, turns out, was not really about Jezebel, but about her granddaughter, Jeho-shabeath, called Sheba by her mother, Athalia, in the story.

Next is a story about King Solomon.  I absolutely LOVE this author, Mesu Andrews!

Thank You, LORD, for the children and grandchildren You have blessed me with!
