Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

My Eternal Day

I was reading the poem included on the picture of Tim that I got from the Cemetery.  One stanza reads:
"This isn't grief, its having
My last tear wiped away.
It's sunrise, it's the morning
Of my eternal day!"

I can hardly wait for that day.....my eternal day!  The day God takes me home to live with Him for all eternity!  Oh!  How marvelous!  Oh!  How wonderful!  What a day that will be!  No more aches and pains!  No more troubles and sorrows!  No more tears!  No more night, only eternal day!  I get chills listening to this song (click on the title to hear it on YouTube):

By David Phelps

The timeless theme, Earth and Heaven will pass away
It's not a dream, God will make all things new that day
Gone is the curse from which I stumbled and fell
Evil is banished to eternal hell

No more night, no more pain
No more tears, never crying again
And praises to the great, "I AM"
We will live in the light of the risen Lamb

See all around, now the nations bow down to sing
The only sound is the praises to Christ, our King
Slowly the names from the book are read
I know the King, so there's no need to dread

No more night, no more pain
No more tears, never crying again
And praises to the great, "I AM"
We will live in the light of the risen Lamb

See over there, there's a mansion
Oh, that's prepared just for me
Where I will live with my Savior eternally

No more night, no more pain
No more tears, never crying again
And praises to the great, "I AM"
We will live in the light of the risen Lamb
All praises to the great, "I AM"
We're gonna live in the light of the risen Lamb

We had a busy day today.  Jessica worked from home.  After she worked, we went to Olive Garden and had soup and salad.  Then we went to Ollie's.  Then she picked up the kids from school and we took them roller skating this evening.

This looks impressive, but it didn't end well.............

OUCH!

We took a break and ate pizza.

A good time was had by all!

Thank You, LORD, for family time!  Family makes life much sweeter!  Thank You for Your earthly blessings!  Can't wait for the heavenly ones to begin!
