Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

The Reason I Smile

One word describes the reason I am smiling in the photo below.....FAMILY!

I love that our annual family gathering at the end of May ends with worship together! Thank You, Lord, for Your blessings over and above what I could ever think to ask You for!

Michael and his family left for home before church, so, unfortunately, they were not included in our photo below.

I think I counted 17 of us:
Mark, me, Kim, Ilene
Jessica, Terry, Chance, Thad, Araya
Michael, Jessica, Kara
Elisabeth, Brad, Hannah, Ryan, Abby

Following my scrapbook page are some photos from our gathering on Saturday, along with some family pictures taken at church and after church as we gathered at Zaxby's for our last meal together before Jessica and her family headed back home.

If you are interested in the credits for how I created this page, click THIS link to be taken to my O'Scraps gallery.

I was more organized with the food this year than in past years, so I got to spend more time relaxing and enjoying my family!  The grandkids are growing up so quickly!  Where does the time slip away to?

Among the activities this weekend, besides eating, the weather was perfect for:
dirt bike and 4-wheel riding
sandbox play
corn hole
horse shoe pitching
4-square
playing in the creek at Elisabeth's
dog petting and holding
relaxation and chit-chat in lawn chairs
swinging
rummikub
