Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

The Kids and The Hunt

Since the sun peaked out today and the temperature warmed up, it was decided that the egg hunt would be done today instead of tomorrow afternoon.  Especially since it is supposed to rain tomorrow.

The Kids
They each had their own color to hunt for.  And there were 35 eggs each.  And, they actually found all of them, even though they needed a little help towards the end.

Here's the group before being released for the hunt!

Abby had yellow eggs and Thad had blue eggs.  Abby is 7 months older than Thaddeus but he is already taller than her.  Abby will turn 7 on April 13th and Thad will be 7 on November 3rd.  They are good buddies.

Ryan had the orange eggs.  Ryan will turn 12 on his papaw Tim's birthday on December 18th.  He probably won't be hunting eggs after this year.

Chance had the green eggs.  Chance will turn 9 on June 21st.  He and Ryan are good buddies.
Araya had the pink eggs.  She will turn 4 on October 27th.  She has many years of egg hunting left!  She LOVES Ryan.  Her mommy put a shirt on her and she said, "Ryan will NOT like this shirt!"  :)

First comes the hiding of the eggs.

Camouflaged

Do you see them?

Since Araya is so young (3) we didn't hide her eggs too hard.

Time for the hunt!

Time to check out the goodies inside the eggs!

Making sure they found all of them!

Got my hair layered yesterday so I could leave it curly most of the time instead of messing with it.

 Now for the girls' photo shoot:

Another beautiful daughter with her handsome husband.

Time for lunch!
Tim's mom, sister and brother and his wife, who live close to Jessica, came over for dinner.  Nothing fancy.  Pizza.  Great to get with the family this weekend.

Chow time!

I got this for Tim's mom for Mother's Day.  I told her I wanted to go ahead and give it to her because I probably wouldn't see her again before Mother's Day.

Aunt Jennifer brought some ceramics for the kids to paint.

She had them draw numbers to see what order the kids would pick a project to do.

Thad chose a dragon.

Chance chose a doggy bank, Ryan chose a rocket.

Araya chose a cupcake with a removable lid.

Hannah chose a skull

Abby chose a box wrapped like a present with a removable lid.

Aunt Jennifer pouring out their choices of colors of paint.
 And the painting begins!

The finished products:

Tim's brother, Jeff, and his wife, Linda.

Tim's mom, Jeanne.  She loves animals.

Tim's sister, Jennifer.

Thank You, Lord, for the opportunity to be with family.  Thank You for a beautiful day!

It's a good thing we did the egg hunt today.  By supper time it had begun raining again.

Have a wonderful Resurrection Sunday!  He is risen, indeed!

1 Low in the grave he lay, Jesus my Savior,
waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord!

Refrain:
Up from the grave he arose;
with a mighty triumph o'er his foes;
he arose a victor from the dark domain,
and he lives forever, with his saints to reign.
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

2 Vainly they watch his bed, Jesus my Savior,
vainly they seal the dead, Jesus my Lord! [Refrain]

3 Death cannot keep its prey, Jesus my Savior;
he tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord! [Refrain]
