Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

The Twelfth of Never

The Twelfth of Never

You ask me how much I need you, must I explain?
I need you, oh my darling, like roses need rain
You ask how long I'll love you, I'll tell you true
Until the Twelfth of Never, I'll still be loving you

Hold me close, never let me go
Hold me close, melt my heart like April snow

I'll love you 'til the bluebells forget to bloom
I'll love you 'til the clover has lost its perfume
I'll love you 'til the poets run out of rhyme
Until the Twelfth of Never and that's a long, long time
Until the Twelfth of Never and that's a long, long time

Look how young!  I guess I should expect that, knowing this was taken 42 years and one week ago!  Tim finished his college semester at U. of Louisville on Friday, May 7th, 1976 and we were married by the Justice of the Peace the following day in the 3rd floor apartment I started renting in March or April.  Mom and I made my dress because I wanted to be able to wear it again.  I bought Tim's green suit to match my green dress.  Yes!  I said GREEN!!!  What was I thinking?!  I do not remember who bought the cake or the bouquet you see behind us.  AH!  Young love, first love, my only true love!

Young Love
by Connie Francis

They say for every boy and girl
There's just one love in this whole world
And I know I've found mine
The heavenly touch of your embrace
Tells me no one could take your place
Ever in my heart

Young love, first love
Filled with true devotion
Young love, our love
We share with deep emotion

Just one kiss from your sweet lips
Will tell me that your love is real
And I can feel that it's true
We will vow to one another
There will never be another
Love for you or for me

Young love, first love
Filled with true devotion
Young love, our love
We share with deep emotion

Yes, our love was a true love!  And it was orchestrated by our heavenly Father!  Otherwise, I would have messed it up BIG time!  He brought us together and He kept us together.  Thank You, LORD!  I am so blessed!  Much more than I deserve, that is for sure!  I'm so glad you love me so!  The only other one to care for me even close to You was Tim!  Thank You for giving him to me for as long as You did!

No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus

I would love to tell you what I think of Jesus,
Since I found in Him a friend so strong and true.
I would tell you how He changed my life completely;
He did something no other friend could do.

Chorus
No one ever cared for me like Jesus;
There's no other friend so kind as He.
No one else could take the sin and darkness from me;
O how much He cared for me.

All my life was full of sin when Jesus found me;
All my heart was full of misery and woe,
Jesus placed His strong arms about me
And He led me in the way I ought to go.

Ev'ry day He comes to me with new assurance;
More and more I understand His word of love.
But I'll never know just why He came to save me,
Till someday I see His blessed face above.
