Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

We Wish You And Yours A Very Merry Christmas!

Good tidings I bring for you and your kin!
God is still on His throne! He is still in the soul-saving business! And my prayer for you is that salvation comes to your house in 2019! Maybe to you, your spouse, your child/children, your mom and/or dad, your aunt or uncle, your grandparents.....ANYONE who wants salvation can have it! There's no secret club to join. Nothing to do but believe:
1. that you are a sinner headed to hell when you die.
Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory ofGod."
Romans 6:23, "For the wages is sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
2. that Jesus died for sinners.
Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth (showed) His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
3. that when you repent and ask for forgiveness of your sins God will save you.
Romans 10:9-10, "That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Romans 14:11, "For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God." If you are going to have to bow before Him anyway, why not do it this side of heaven so you have the benefit of eternal life with God? Because if you don't, you will hear the saddest words ever spoken to man....."depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels." Matthew 25:41

I wouldn't, couldn't wish that on my worst enemy, but God will and is the only One who has the righteousness to be able to condemn someone to hell. Please trust the Lord as your Savior before it is eternally too late!

This morning, Mark and I took presents to two of his grandchildren who live about 5 minutes away from us. It is a beautiful day but pretty nippy.

This old iPad of Tim's won't let me scroll down to the pictures I'm posting past the first one, so I'm going to just make a few comments. You may have to click on each picture to see them better. Sorry about that!

The next 2 pictures are the baby blanket I'm knitting for Mark's granddaughter coming in February. The meal was breakfast I fixed for us Monday morning. The last picture is of us playing Sequence which we are fairly addicted to.

I'm praying you had a blessed holiday. Ours ended abruptly due to sickness....fevers, nausea, vomiting....yeah, the fun stuff! NOT! But I'm happy to report that those who didn't have it still don't at this point and those who did are better! Thank You, Lord!
