This is My Father's World
1. This is my Father's world,
and to my listening ears
all nature sings, and round me rings
the music of the spheres.
This is my Father's world:
I rest me in the thought
of rocks and trees, of skies and seas;
his hand the wonders wrought.
2. This is my Father's world,
the birds their carols raise,
the morning light, the lily white,
declare their maker's praise.
This is my Father's world:
he shines in all that's fair;
in the rustling grass I hear him pass;
he speaks to me everywhere.
3. This is my Father's world.
O let me ne'er forget
that though the wrong seems oft so strong,
God is the ruler yet.
This is my Father's world:
why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King; let the heavens ring!
God reigns; let the earth be glad!
and to my listening ears
all nature sings, and round me rings
the music of the spheres.
This is my Father's world:
I rest me in the thought
of rocks and trees, of skies and seas;
his hand the wonders wrought.
2. This is my Father's world,

Here's some pictures from the past several days:
Friday, April 6
We began revival services on Thursday, April 5th, with David Parks. Today I made some egg muffin cups for tomorrow's breakfast with William and Debbie Martin who would be arriving later on tonight.
First, I diced all of the veggies.....red pepper, onion, spinach, mushrooms. I sauteed the pepper and onions for 5 minutes.
Then I added the spinach and mushrooms and sauteed for a couple of minutes.
Next I added some garlic and sauteed for about 30 seconds.
I poured the veggies into 8 eggs I whisked together. Then poured the batter into muffin cups.
You bake them at 350 for 15 minutes. They are really good! Ilene and I ate a couple for our breakfast to make sure they were fit to serve our guests! ;)
A couple of Ilene's great grandkids spent the day with us. This is her namesake, Lydia. Ilene's first name is Lydia, but she has always been called by her middle name, Ilene.
This is Gideon and Lydia sitting on Ilene's porch swing in the front of the house.
Ilene sure loves those grands!
Lydia is the cutest thing!
Some of Ilene's lilacs blooming by the driveway. She has some white ones, too.
These look kind of yellow, but today they look like white tulips.
Saturday, April 7th:
It rained most of the day; it was a cold rain! We had a cook out and Ilene's daughters and grandchildren came, too. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of them!
William told us to spray some grease onto the clothesline poles so the squirrels couldn't climb them and get to the suit cakes and bird feeders. I like squirrels, I just don't like them eating our bird seed!
Ilene spraying Pam on the clothesline poles.
Sunday, April 8th:
We ended the revival services today with lunch on the grounds. Then everyone went home after cleaning up. Ilene and I worked on a puzzle the rest of the afternoon after she took a nap.
Tuesday, April 10th:
I was sick with a headache and did not get to go to the Widow's Meeting in Statesville at Damascus Baptist Church. So, Ilene drove the widows from our church to the meeting. Later in the afternoon, this pheasant made an appearance around the bird feeder.
Isn't he beautiful?!
Wednesday, April 11th:
Took Ilene to a consultation with the doctor to schedule a sleep apnea study Ilene will be doing in May. Then we went to Olive Garden for the soup and salad lunch. Before going home, we stopped to get a few groceries. Ilene had a hair appointment. While she was gone I took some pictures.
His eye is on the sparrow! And I know He watches me!
This lizard was sunning himself. I wanted to capture a close up picture of him, so I stepped down to the step he was on and he didn't even run away, didn't hardly move!
I even slid my hand pretty close to him and he didn't offer to move!
It was a beautiful day today!
Here's the lizard off the step.
Can you see the yellow eyebrows on this sparrow?
This female cowbird was flinging seeds everywhere!
This is a new bird I have not seen before. Or at least I thought.
Here's a picture of it in the tree. When I looked it up, I find that it is an Eastern Towhee, which I have posted before. But the picture I posted earlier was of the bird on the ground. I didn't get this good of a shot.
Male bluebird. The blue is so pretty!
Isn't this female bluebird beautiful?!
Time to feed the babies!
I never see the bluebirds at the feeder! I need to check into what they eat!
Ilene and I enjoying a soup and salad lunch at Olive Garden today!
Don't you agree that God is amazing in His creatures and ALL of His creation?! Until next time.....
