Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

EHD Update

No good news yet. However, I have made contact with Verbatim and am waiting to hear from them before I call them. I noted to them that I had unplugged it from the USB without turning the power off first. Hopefully this will give them an idea of what the problem is and, most importantly, that it is fixable!

Thanks for all of your heart-felt sympathy and prayers for me in knowing how to move forward. I can tell you that, as sweet as the offer was, Tim and I agree that we will not have our son pay the exorbitant price to retrieve the files. If those were the only pictures we had or, God forbid, we would never be seeing our family again, then those pictures would be more valuable! It pains me to say this, but there are more important things in life (gasp!) than losing those files and pictures! And, even though LOTS of hard work is gone, too, it will just have to be! There is a purpose for this happening, so I will look for the lesson(s) and move forward, hopefully having learned the lesson(s)!!! :)

BTW, girls! IF I cannot get the files back, I WILL be borrowing all of those CDs that I made for you of the grandkids, our vacations together, etc! :)

Michael says that if you decide not to have them do it, go ahead and mail the whole thing to him and he'll see what he can do.
