We began the day by going out to brunch at the Wallburg Diner. Then we came back to the house and donned our biking gear. At 11:20 we headed back into Wallburg to fill the bike with gas and began our trip from there. We finally stopped around 2:30 to stretch, use the facilities and eat a bite.
I did take the real camera with me today. I took pictures on the trip as we headed north. I did not take pictures as we headed south on 601 because we were traveling at a faster speed and the clouds moved in and it was a bit on the cool side; I kept my gloves on and covered my legs with my arms to keep everything warmer. I am thankful for heated seats! We arrived home at 3:45 after 158 miles round trip.
It was a great day! We want to take a trip for a week at some point. We will be putting in LOTS more miles in a day on that trip!
Thank You, LORD, for Your protection today! Thank You for the good weather!

Today's silhouette. |
A bright blue sky and plenty of sunshine as we begin the trip. |
A selfie with the camera into the side mirror. |
Look at that bright green building! |
Christmas blow-ups still in this yard. |
A Route 66 Diner in Kernersville. |
Another route to Hanging Rock State Park.....Route 66. |
I captured several old, dilapidated buildings along the way. |
Coming into mountainous terrain...... |
Curvy roads...... |
Log cabins...... |
Did I mention curvy roads? |
A very OLD barn! |
It was pretty breezy the whole trip, as you can see from the flags in the center of the picture. |
I love seeing cattle. It always reminds me of the verse, "For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills." Psalm 50:10 |
These were the last pictures I took in Mt. Airy as we began our southerly descent on our trip. You can see the clouds have moved in from the first picture.
A selfie at Popeye's. |
And the last selfie before arriving back home. No more sun! |
Happy Valentine's Day!
