Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Back it Up!

Saturday was a snow day, the very first one for us here in NC. It started around 1 PM. I love taking pictures of the snow and of it snowing! This first picture is looking out the front window towards the road and through my grapevine wreath.

The snow seemed to slack off a bit. But, an hour later, this was the view out the back door towards the neighbor's field.
I zoomed in to capture the snow falling.
You can see the light pole of the picture above in this picture on the left.
How pretty! This is zoomed in to the trees between the two church buildings.

And, by Sunday morning in time for church it was all gone! YAY!! Today the breezes were blowing and giving a wind chill. Not as bad as up north, but still pretty nippy for NC! Hopefully, by the time we head north for the weekend, this weather front will have passed on by!

wow! I'm surprised! Right now they are calling for a rain/snow mix this weekend. The temp is supposed to be right above freezing.

That looks so pretty! I'm ready for snow. We usually don't get much until February or so. My favorite part - it was gone soon after! Pretty to watch it fall, but not to clean it up.

I missed the snow that hit Cincinnati - all 3 inches of it - while I was out in Vegas. Well, maybe "missed" isn't the proper word, but you know what I mean. Anyway, it was melted before I got home late Thursday night but we're expecting more this evening.
