Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

A Cabin in the Woods

Mark and I are in the mountains this week on our official honeymoon.  September 1st was going to be our marriage date (moved up from Dec. 22), but then we decided we had no reason to wait.  So we got married on July 26th (in case you didn't know)!  So, instead, we just kept September 1st as the date and planned the wedding reception, which Jessica and my sister-in-law, Jennifer, did a FANTASTIC and BEAUTIFUL job at decorating!  Those pictures to follow!

Here are some pictures of the "cabin" we have rented for the week:

The cabin is basically one big room divided up into sections.
This is looking out the sliding glass doors from the "living room."

A better view

The steps leading down to the cabin from the parking area.  This is a walk-around deck.

There's the glass doors in the "living room" out to the deck.

From the living room to the kitchen.

From the kitchen to the bedroom.  Just before the red coat "closet" on the left at the end of the bedroom is the door to the bathroom.

Nice sized bathroom.
More pictures as the week goes on.  On the schedule for tomorrow is ziplining!  ;-)
