Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Birthday Celebration!

It was a busy week!  It ended in fun as we celebrated Hannah turning 15!  WOW!  That is just so hard to believe!  It seems like just yesterday that she would spend the night because mommy had to work.  She loved swinging and would cry out, "Higher, Mamaw!  Higher!"

Liz contacted me early in the week to see if it would be possible to being Hannah and a few of her girlfriends out to ride in the woods and celebrate her birthday and spend the night on Friday.  Since they would be arriving late on Friday, there would not be much time to play in the woods.  Most of the play was done on Saturday!  And, boy!  Was it hot and humid!  Brad came up on Saturday, too.  Liz and Abby stayed the night with us on Friday with the girls.  It turned out to be only Hannah and Emma celebrating!

Liz wanted me to decorate the 4 wheeler and go carts.  I hung an emoji happy birthday between the 2 go carts and decorated the 4 wheeler with ribbon, etc and put some decorations on the go carts, too.

Liz and I fixed bacon, scrambled eggs and hash browns for breakfast, plus there was a danish and donuts.  When the kids started wanting food, Brad and Liz treated us at the Wallburg Pizzaria & Grill.  Then the girls rode some more before having to go home.

I think the girls had a good time!  So did the adults!  Thank You, LORD, for family time!
