DH bought wine at Walmart today for the Lord's Supper we will observe on Wednesday. And I pulled a frozen yeast roll from the freezer to thaw and rise for DH's dinner tonight. And I thought about the yeast (leaven) being a picture of sin in the Bible. Hence today's page. Not only do we make sure the elements used for the Lord's Supper are yeast-free, but we need to be sure our lives are yeast-free. Thank You, LORD, for Your sacrifice!

Short and sweet tonight. Thought I would tempt your taste buds as well as I tickled mine when I ate this juicy, loaded hamburger! Or not! Depends on how you like yours, I would say!

I also wanted to show you a page I did of my cute, cute grandson, Ryan, learning to ride his big boy bike! He has to work on making the peddle brakes work so he can stop, but other than that he is doing very well!

I probably woke up this morning around 6 with a very full bladder! But, I didn't want to get up and take a chance on waking Ryan up, so I lay there in misery until I could stand it NO longer! But, I waited at least until Ryan popped his head up and was looking out the camper window before I ventured out from the covers. And that was the beginning of the morning as everyone started waking up after that. Tim and I headed up to the bathroom/shower house. I wasn't expecting a very good experience, however was pleasantly surprised with a nice, clean shower AND good and hot water throughout the whole shower! Even with others coming in and flushing the toilets, washing their hands and Liz in the other shower! It was great! And when I was done, Jessica was ready and she enjoyed a nice hot shower, too! After we all got our showers and dressed, we ate stuff like donuts, bananas, and muffins. We messed around the campsite for awhile and then headed out to the Twin Falls Trail. That's where we spent the next couple of hours. It was a beautiful day! After we got back, we ate lunch. Hannah and Ryan enjoyed PB&J, and the rest of us had sandwiches and hotdogs, more potato salad and cole slaw and chips, and OF COURSE, smores! After lunch Liz and I took the kids to play on the swings but that didn't last very long because the stupid gnats were thick and flying in your face and we decided enough was enough! We drove back to the campsite and Ryan and Liz laid down for a nap. Jessica had already gone to bed before we got back. Terry went soon after we got back. Brad colored with Hannah for quite awhile while Tim read his book and I played on the computer designing some more papers, etc. When the battery was gone, Hannah and I played some Go Fish. Before long Liz woke up and we colored some. About 3:45 Tim and I started packing up to come back home. We said goodbye to everyone around 4 and were on the road again. We stopped in Wytheville for a Subway. And back home by 8:15. Short but sweet weekend. Brad and Liz and the kids are staying at Twin Falls through Monday. Jessica and Terry left and arrived home about the same time we did. It was great to be with everyone even if our time together was short!

My sweet granddaughter who loves to "type" on mamaw's computer! I think I see a future digiscrapper!

Tim and I arrived at the campsite around 4:15 today. We got tired of waiting around the house and ended up leaving about 1/2 hour earlier than we had planned. We made plans to stop at a Christian bookstore on the way out of NC, but when we got there we learned that they had moved the store to Winston-Salem where we live, go figure! So, we just continued on our journey. We parked the car at the campsite and took a walk to find the bathroom. There were a good number of campsites filled, but lots more to fill, which became full by later in the evening. With nothing else to do but wait on Brad and Liz, we got back in the car and Tim snoozed and I did some digital designing. We waited for almost 2 hours before Brad and Liz finally got there! Then we began "setting up" the campsite and getting things ready to begin cooking dinner. It was probably 8 before we sat down to eat BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, potato salad, cole slaw and baked beans! YUM! And, of course, no camp meal is complete without SMORES! Double YUM! Terry and Jessica pulled up not too long after we started eating. But they got the tent set up before they settled down to eat. Bed time was about 11.

I have 2 pages for you today.

I couldn't resist doing a muffin man layout today, even though I originally had other plans. I'll have to scrap about the "broken eggs" some other time!

I made these muffins for our "camping" trip this weekend. I use the term loosely because, IMHO if you can sleep pretty well on a camping trip, there must be something wrong! You can't REALLY be camping if you can sleep! Oh, but, I'm NOT complaining at all! Camping over the years has become something entirely different than that very first camping trip I ever went on, which was on my honeymoon! I kid you not! So much for the dreams of a romantic honeymoon in some foreign land, dinner by candle light followed by a walk along the beach at sunset, hand in hand, not aware of anyone or anything else on earth! We eventually stroll back to the honeymoon suite of our hotel, fling ourselves on the rose petal-covered bed and end the night with passionate love......to wake up the next morning......in a sleeping bag! LOL! But, you know what? I didn't really care one way or the other! I finally had my man and we were young and were together "forever" now so that was ALL that mattered! Anyway, I digressed! I'll have to show you that first camping trip ever that I was on and the things I learned how to do!

So, I started to tell you that I made these muffins for the camping excursion to Twin Falls State Park in WV where we will meet our 2 daughters and their families tomorrow evening. We probably won't do much tomorrow night because we plan to fix dinner after everyone arrives at approximately 5:00. There will probably be some time for swinging the kids or a short hike or something. We will see. So, I probably won't post anything on here for a couple of days. But, I'll have "camping" pages later on this weekend!

It is neat how the Lord uses different things, every day things that we take for granted sometimes, to remind us of important issues we should be dealing with in our lives. Today being a case in point. I noticed the church sign DH has for the week and started thinking about how man starts to die as soon as we are born. Knowing this is important for making preparations for our unknown length of life and the family that will be left behind. More importantly for making preparations for the after life, eternity. As you've heard it said, I'm sure, that we are going to be dead alot longer than we will be alive! We should live our lives as if every day will be our last. Not morbidly so, but enthusiastically so! Doing as much as we can for the Lord in the time that we have. And telling others of the way of salvation! I know I am guilty of not making the best use of my time probably most of the time! We are all going to fade away as the grass and the flower. The only difference is that we are going to fade into eternity! Are you ready for that transition? I hope and pray that you are!

Sorry this is late, but we have been having modem issues. It is the modem (second one) that AT&T supplies with our internet access account. The last time it had to be replaced (just earlier this year) the repair man from AT&T had the same last name as us...Day. He said they are always having to replace these motorola modems because they get to hot and burn out the insides. He even went so far as to give me his personal work phone number and said that if we had trouble again to call him directly because it would probably be the same thing and he would stop by and replace it rather than us having to deal directly with AT&T. So, we have called him twice and left messages, to no avail! GRRRRR!!! And Tim also tried to call AT&T to report it and that was a night mare! He never did get through to the right department, so he gave up. That's when he decided to try calling our "contact" LOL! So, when the modem gets hot, which is more and more frequently every day, we just have to unplug it and let it cool completely down and then plug it in again. Then we have to work really fast to get our internet work/e-mail work done! So, that is the long story on why this post is late! I haven't worked on today's page, yet, but I have my pictures. And hopefully I will be able to get it posted today! We shall see!
