I am so glad to be back home! We had a great weekend and the Revival services were wonderful, but that trip was a killer! My tail bone got so sore sitting that long! It was wonderful to re-connect with the Meadows' after so many years! Tim was in seminary with Doug and Laura is the sister-in-law to my brother. We have not seen them in many, many years! I'm not sure that I had ever met Doug before. I was at Temple Baptist several times, however, so I probably did and just do not remember. They have a wonderful group of people in their congregation, which is about the size of our congregation.

It rained quite a bit early this morning on the trip. But I think it had pretty much cleared up by noon and the drive was pretty the rest of the way home. We had planned to stop at some state parks in NC to check them out for future day trips, but Tim decided not to since it was going to be so late by the time we got home anyway. We left at 9:00 (8 their time) and got home at around 8:00 (7 their time). So we made pretty good time and only stopped for gas and food and a potty break.

We got back to the hotel at around 3:00 this afternoon. We checked the brochure Tim picked up at Bellevue Baptist Church (Adrian Rogers former pastor) so we could see what time the services started as we planned to attend. But instead of preaching there was going to be a concert. So we decided we didn't want to go and checked the area for a movie instead. We saw Time Traveler's Wife, which was about the only PG-13 movie. Everything else practically was rated R. And as far as we were concerned after seeing it, this one should have been rated something besides PG-13 because of the nudity and language. Great story line, however. Left me crying!

Today DH and I went our separate ways. He with the pastor and I with the pastor's wife. He attended a prayer breakfast with some of the men of the church. I was treated to lunch with some of the ladies of the church and then we went through some of the shoppes of the Collierville Square. Very enjoyable day! It was fun getting to know the ladies a little better. Thanks, Ladies!

I am really enjoying not working for a couple of reasons besides the obvious one, LOL! I finally get to go with DH on his preaching appointments and the other meetings he attends. This weekend we are in Bartlett, TN which is a suburb of Memphis, TN. He is preaching a weekend revival.

First of all I want to wish my baby girl (who turned 26 today) a Happy Birthday! And today's date would be 09-09-09, not to be written like that again for 100 years! Think you'll live that long, Lizzy?! Probably not! I know I certainly will not!

I walked out to the mail box today and noticed the yard was full of leaves from the tree that is in the front of the house. So, I got my first Fall picture of leaves, along with one of the turning leaves still in the tree, just waiting for the breeze to blow them to the ground. Fall is my favorite time of the year! I love the cooler temperatures after a long, hot summer! And I especially love the colors of the Fall! Some of God's most magnificent paintings can be seen in the Fall! And I love the autumn breezes blowing. Ahhhhhh! Makes me want to kick up my heels and just lay in the grass and watch the world blow by (with camera in hand, of course!)!

Today I was able to get another freebie uploaded to Today's Scrap blog and I finished another freebie, zipped it up and am ready to release it tomorrow! In between those two things, Tim and I went to find the Christian bookstore that we discovered had moved when we stopped on our way to camping last Friday. Turns out they didn't have what we needed anyway (Lord's supper bread), so we ended up coming back to the mall area where Life Way Southern Baptist bookstore is. Then we picked up a fire extinguisher that had to be re-loaded or whatever they do to them. Spaghetti and garlic bread for supper and back to work on my kits.
