Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Whose Woods These Are

Mark took half a day off today and we went to the tri-state preacher's meeting at Shallowford.  It is like a mini Bible conference.  Wonderful messages.  Wonderful fellowship.  They had supper catered by Little Richard's BBQ.  It was yummy!  The ladies of the church made desserts!

The meeting begins at 2:00.  One man preaches and then there is a break for some refreshments.  Two more men preach and then there is a break for supper.  One more man preaches and the meeting ends around 8:00.

There were not as many preachers in attendance today due to weather and sickness.  The meeting includes preachers from West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina and is held every other month, skipping the summer months because of camps and retreats, etc.

Whose Woods These Are

I love taking photos of the snow.  Mark was going to walk his dog in the woods when it snowed a week ago this past Sunday and I had him take the camera along to get some pictures.  He got some good ones!  We've had enough snow for the year for me!  But, there is a chance of more snow this weekend, I believe someone told me!  OY VEY!

Journaling reads:  Whose woods these are I think I know.  His house is in the village though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill up with snow. – Robert Frost (1874-1963)  The beauty of the snow falling silently to the ground is a wonderful thing to watch.  It seems to bring a halt to everything.  And in that halt of activity comes a peace.  A pure, white peace.
