Today I have been cleaning out some of the file cabinet drawers in my computer room where I just "dumped" stuff into them when I took my computer desk out and put it in the guest room. While I was sorting through the papers, etc, I ran across this art work that I made when I was in the 4th grade when we lived in California. I'm amazed with it being glass that it has lasted this long! When dad died and we had to sell the house, I found this in the picture box mom had. Since she was in the nursing home I knew she wouldn't have any more use for it, so I took it, mainly for sentimental reasons. But who knows, I might use it as a craft at church some day!

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen
