Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Revive Us Again

We started our fall revival tonight with Brother David Morris.  We had a good turn out from our sister churches.  Thanks to all of you who came to support the meeting!  Come the rest of the week, if you can!

Revival is actually for Christians, not the lost.  But, the gospel is always preached in case someone in the audience is not yet part of the family of God.  You cannot REVIVE something that is dead.  And, until we realize our sinful, lost condition, we are dead in our trespasses and sins.  But, thanks be to God for His mercy on sinners!  "Every knee will bow!  Salvation is just bowing ahead of time!" Brother David said tonight.  We have been praying for Revival in our country!  But we need revival, too!  It is so easy to become complacent and uncaring about the lost and dying world around us.  But, hopefully the lord will see fit to save someone this week!

Revive Us Again
We praise You oh God for the Son of Your love
For Jesus, who died and is now gone above

Hallelujah, Thine the glory
Hallelujah, amen
Hallelujah, Thine the glory
Revive us again

We praise You oh God for Your Spirit of Light
Who has shown us our Savior and scattered our night

All glory and praise to the Lamb that was slain
Who has born all our sin and has cleansed every stain
Revive us again, fill our hearts with Your love
And may our souls be rekindled with fire from above

Hallelujah, Thine the glory
Hallelujah, amen
Hallelujah, Thine the glory
Revive us again

The weather was overcast all day today.  That is OK because it kept the heat down.  It was humid and if it had not been cloudy, it would have been hot!

I'm not sure if this is the sun or the moon.

It was mostly cloud-covered.

Ominous looking sky!  Never did rain but sure looked like it would!

Had a wonderful first meeting!  I know each night will only get better and better!  Please plan to attend the revival services, if you can.

Short outline from tonight's sermon from Daniel 7:
1.  The Kingdoms of this World
     Babylon, Persia, Greek and Roman
These Kings were lost.  However, the Lord is King.....King of kings and Lord of lords.  He is the         Lord of history - His story!
2.  The Kingdom of our Lord and His Christ
     History is His Story!

Jesus paid the price for salvation that He did not owe.
He paid the debt I could not pay.  I am so thankful for that!

Jesus paid it all!  All to Him I owe!
Sin has left a crimson stain!
He washed it white as snow!

Thank You, Lord for your mercy, love and grace!
