O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Secret Sisters

We had a wonderful time at the church tonight as we revealed who our Secret Sisters were during 2017.  Fun, Food and Fellowship!  It's wonderful being a part of the Family of God!  But even with enjoying the evening together, we were very aware that it is different this year and it always will be.  Thank You, Father, for the Family you have given to us for support and encouragement during the hard times.  Thank You for upholding us with Your strong arm of love.  Thank You for showing us Your mercy, love and grace every day!
Food is always better when shared with your Sisters!

There were 14 of us gathered.

Precious ladies!  Of the 14 in attendance, 6 of us are widows.

After we ate, we revealed our secret sisters and then played "dirty Santa" with our white elephant gifts we brought.  A fun time was had by all!
