O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

March 15, 2009

Today the weather is yucky, but we need the rain. Isn't God good?! Just because we don't necessarily like a rainy day, isn't it good that God doesn't react to our petty whims, but gives us what we need! Just like a faithful father who takes care of the needs of his children!

I got an e-mail from my dear MIL today with the cute little poem and Koalas shown in the layout for today. And I decided that today would be a good day to pass along some hugs. And what better way to do that than to share a nice, warm bowl of soup with you on this wet day. I got this recipe off of another blog, http://livingonthecreek.wordpress.com/. Why don't you run over there and take a look. Seems to me like she must be an awful good cook! :)
