Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

Sometimes you feel like a nut.......

Today started out with a headache, which didn't entirely leave all day!  I knew it was there if I had to cough, or if I bent over because of the sinus pressure!  Just another one of those thorns in the flesh that one must deal with!  :D

We went to Mallard Ridge Assisted Living for our monthly services tonight.  We always receive a blessing from being there!  The folks are so glad to see us!  Not many came out tonight.  Sometimes the workers will go around to remind the residents about the services getting ready to start.  But, that didn't happen tonight.  Sometimes the residents will come when they hear the music begin to play.  We always sing first.  Then we have prayer and a devotion by one of the men of the church.  Then we sing some more and end with some specials from our church, either Joy and Sharon playing and singing or the church group all singing.

As we were waiting for everyone to come into the services, Sharon and Calvin came in.  Sharon had on a plum colored hat that matched Tim's shirt perfectly!  So, that had to be our daily photo!

I tried to take a picture at the house as we were getting into the car to come to the services.  I didn't turn on the flash because it blinds you being that close (arms length).  But, it was too dark.  But I'll keep the picture, anyway, just because that's what I do!  :D

I was trying to get the sky in the background, so at least that part worked!  :D

Nothing else happened today except running to the hospital because the husband of a dear lady at church ended up being taken and admitted for his heart.  Please say a prayer for him as he needs the Lord as his Savior!  And pray for her as she is getting ready to have a lumpectomy on Friday and will then start radiation treatments.

Nite!
