Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

All Living is Preparation for Dying

So, make it count for eternity's sake!

Our bird-watching photo for the day.  I will never get enough of living life with this man!

This week's sign.

We take life for granted.  We assume we are going to be here tomorrow, but that is not necessarily true!  God has appointed unto each and everyone of us a time to die and after that is judgment (Hebrews 9:27).  Will your judgment be for rejecting God's Son?  I pray not!  Why not come to Him now?  He WILL absolutely and completely save you from eternal separation from Him.

Tim ate lunch and was in bed by 1:00 today so he could rest!  And he got up at 4:00.  When he woke up this morning he said his legs felt weak.  The bananas were still too green to eat with his cereal, so before we left for church, I gave him an Ensure to drink.  And we took some Gatorade for him to sip during church.  He did feel better after church, but he was tired.

No double vision today, thank the Lord!

In the evening, he is ready for bed at 8:30, so I prepare his evening pills and he is usually in bed by 9:00.  We were going to see his dad this week for Father's Day and also see his mom while we were in the area, but, and I agree, she advised him it was too soon for such a long trip in a 24 hour period.  He said he wanted to get away, but he might as well sleep here in his bed, which would be better than trying to nap in the car.  I told him he needed to be stronger and we could make the trip later.  So, instead, we will send something to his dad in the mail for Father's Day.

Not much activity around the bird feeders this evening after church, but I managed to get a few pictures.

The mushroom really grew today

WOW!  Almost gone!

Mr. and Mrs. Goldfinch.

One lonely chickadee is all I see lately.  Wonder if that hawk has been eating them?

I'm pretty sure Mr. Goldfinch was flicking the seeds out of the way to get to the thistle seed in this feeder.  I'd say they are spoiled!

Very warm day, but a beautiful evening!

Have a great week!
