Excerpt: The Pursuit of God, The Human Thirst for the Divine, A.W. Tozer

O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need of further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, The Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, that so I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away." Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wondered so long. In Jesus' name. Amen

March 12, 2009

Today I worked on my Days of Praise blog just about all day long. I changed the header and the background. I'm not completely satisfied with the background yet. The cross stitched cross is too big, so I need to remove some of the stitches and make it smaller and re-upload, but not today! I'm tired of messing with it!

We got some tax money back this week, so last night I suggested to DH that we splurge some of it by going out to eat. When we lived in WV and I was working full time, we had money to burn! And we had a date night every Thursday. But since I am not working here in NC, we rarely ever get to go out to eat and we really miss it! So, we decided to go to Olive Garden, which is our second favorite place to eat. Our first choice is Applebee's! But, since we hadn't been to Olive Garden in quite some time, we decided to go there on our date!

I used Maddy Fernandez' "Pearly Shells Page Kit" found HERE.

I like the sound of that "money to burn" stuff. :)

Glad you had fun. I'll let you in on a little secret: we ate out today, too. Just don't tell "The Bear." He wasn't invited. I can't afford to feed him when we eat out these days. He eats all his food and any leftovers on anyone else's plate, too. We're going to be using our refund to "Feed the Bear," with groceries, that is.

Yeah, Liz! You are probably right! But, too bad! I don't ask much of him, just a pic now and then, LOL!
